About Us
The Scottsdale Community Garden Club is a not for profit organization that offers gardening experience for everyone from the novice beginner to master gardener. You garden on your own plot and your fellow club members are there to guide you, share their experiences and give you a helping hand.
There is activity in the garden throughout the year. Since our mild winters allow for a fall/winter crop as well as the traditional spring/summer planting. Most of the vegetables you may have grown elsewhere in the country will thrive in one or both these two seasons. The fall/winter season is especially good for growing broccoli, cauliflower, beets, lettuces, and peas. The spring/summer planting is ideal for tomatoes, sweet corn, carrots, squashes of various kinds, potatoes and peppers. The club provides water for your garden, wheelbarrows, soil amendments and tillers.
We welcome you to join to learn, experiment and enjoy the pleasure of growing your own vegetables for you, your family and friends.
